Schedule- 11:00am-7:00pm (alternating weekends)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for preparation of meals for students/staff in a cafeteria style setting.
REPORTS TO:
Food Service Supervisor
SUPERVISES:
Students that may be assigned to the kitchen.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Must have baking experience
- Minimum of two years experience in cafeteria style food preparation
- Ability to read menus and recipes
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Ability to relate to youth and minority groups
- Must pass pre-employment criminal history check and drug screen
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Must possess and demonstrate the ability to:
- Prepare meals to be served to the general student population and staff according to prepared menus in a cafeteria setting
- Cook and prepare food according to the number of persons to be served at each meal and all other general cooking duties
- Perform general sanitation duties to maintain standards of health, safety, and cleanliness in the cafeteria
- Act in a professional manner towards supervision, students, administrators co-workers
- Work their assigned schedule as posted
- Work holidays
- Work varied hours
- Exhibit personal efficiency regarding attendance, punctuality, initiative, judgment and appropriate appearance
- Perform other duties as assigned
